Home Depot doesn't play fair

I was recently shopping at Home Depot on the Va side of Bristol up at Exit 7 and was trying to take advantage of the tax holiday on appliances and pick up some DAP Flex 230 silicone caulk on sale for $2.99. I had also picked out a new light for the butlers pantry as well as a nice dishwasher. When checking out, the store REFUSED to honor their own store ad, stating that the item number shown was for WHITE caulk only, although nothing in the ad stated the sale price only for WHITE caulk, the customer was expected to know that the item number listed was for white caulk. Funny thing is, we had to search all over just to find the caulk. When checking out, try to avoid checking out with Natasha, a snippy, snotty unhelpful clerk who finds it better to leave her customers standing at the checkout while she runs through the store trying to find things to disprove and be argumentitve about with her customers. I left my sale, all 6 tubes of the caulk, the light and they can forget the sale on the dishwasher. I hope they now thing its a good idea to irratate their customers by trying to jerk them around instead of being helpful and kind. I went straight to Lowes, where they not only honored the price, but said they didn't give a fig what color I picked out, they gave me an additional discount on a wonderful dishwasher, and they showed me some caulk they had on sale a BOGO for Dupont clear and white silicone caulk, helped us find a light the same as at Home Depot, for less $$ and they helped us save about $300 between the caulk and the dishwasher. WOW! I am spending my money at Lowes from here on out and Home Depot can go pound salt!

Home Depot has Horrible Return Policy

Long story short-don't waste your time at Home Depot. Go to Lowe's or even better-Berry's at x14 or other locally owned stores. My husband and I bought 4 gallons of paint that we didn't need. We went to the store to return it and were immediately faced with rude, slow customer service reps and the manager on duty, Kim B who did not care at all. Overall-horrible, rude experience. I went to Lowe's and asked them what their return policy was-they said they would have no issue taking the items back, so my husband researched complaints on HD online and we found a ton. I wrote a letter to the Bristol store and cc:ed the coporate headquarters in Atlanta. Eventually, it all worked out and I was able to return the paint, but you have to stay determined, fight and threaten to take your business elsewhere. Headquarters informed Bristol that I would be coming on a certain day and I was told to meet with the manager of the store, Polly. Even when I went there-Polly was too busy to meet with me. What's that say and to make it worse-I had to stand in line at the customer service station for several minutes and be pushed around because they didn't know what to do. If you do go to HD and need to make a return-the only one there that is helpful and friendly is Pam, a customer service rep. Other than that-don't waste your time at a store where they don't care about customers.
